Dear spa and wellness industry family,
The effects are universal. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people and businesses that have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) — and we know that's all of us. None of us are untouched, and this is the time to band together and show our strength as an industry founded on supporting good health and wellness.
We've started a Facebook group — COVID-19 Support and Resources for Spa Industry Partners. It's time to reflect on what we can do NOW and in the future to better our businesses.
We invite you to join this group and share your ideas, what you are doing with your own business or practice during this time, your challenges, your triumphs, your resources for business and your knowledge about wellness. We need to focus on how to bring back health and wellness through proven spa therapy and healing and therefore generate revenue to rebound our businesses and support our local, national and global economies.
COVID-19 has forced the world to take a pause. Let's use that time wisely, expand our education, improve our businesses and prepare to provide even better service and spa therapy in the future. It's time to support each other and work together on ideas for our collective come-back.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Stay positive and healthy,
Ann, Stewart and your entire Himalayan Source Team
We are all facing challenges during this ever-evolving global situation, and we want you to know — we are here are you. We are committed to doing whatever we can to support you, your clients and your business. Supporting the health of others is the heart of what we do, and we appreciate that mission today more than ever.
Here's what we — and you — can do
While there is currently no known cure or vaccine for COVID-19, one of the most important things any of us can do is strengthen our immune systems.
Educate others on how the healing powers of salt can support wellness, particularly by supporting strong respiratory function.
Studies suggest that salt boosts immunity, and halotherapy has long been popular with travelers, particularly after flights, who feel salt's positive effects in their breathing and know how salt can support a healthy respiratory system.
Breathing in salt particles may help reduce inflammation in the lungs, clear mucus, and potentially increase lung capacity. Anti-inflammatory, salt therapy is often used to help people with asthma, allergies or other respiratory ailments. Salt is also antimicrobial and antibacterial.
Simply put, salt therapy can make it easier to breathe.
Halotherapy and the use of Himalayan salt for spa therapy is one of the fastest growing modalities in our industry for a reason. We need to make a commitment to do all we can to stay well and to educate others on how to support their own health and immunity.
