Dear spa and wellness industry family,
The effects are universal. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people and businesses that have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) — and we know that's all of us. None of us are untouched, and this is the time to band together and show our strength as an industry founded on supporting good health and wellness.
We've started a Facebook group — COVID-19 Support and Resources for Spa Industry Partners. It's time to reflect on what we can do NOW and in the future to better our businesses.
We invite you to join this group and share your ideas, what you are doing with your own business or practice during this time, your challenges, your triumphs, your resources for business and your knowledge about wellness. We need to focus on how to bring back health and wellness through proven spa therapy and healing and therefore generate revenue to rebound our businesses and support our local, national and global economies.
COVID-19 has forced the world to take a pause. Let's use that time wisely, expand our education, improve our businesses and prepare to provide even better service and spa therapy in the future. It's time to support each other and work together on ideas for our collective come-back.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Stay positive and healthy,
Ann, Stewart and your entire Himalayan Source Team
We are all facing challenges during this ever-evolving global situation, and we want you to know — we are here are you. We are committed to doing whatever we can to support you, your clients and your business. Supporting the health of others is the heart of what we do, and we appreciate that mission today more than ever.
Here's what we — and you — can do
While there is currently no known cure or vaccine for COVID-19, one of the most important things any of us can do is strengthen our immune systems.
Educate others on how the healing powers of salt can support wellness, particularly by supporting strong respiratory function.
Studies suggest that salt boosts immunity, and halotherapy has long been popular with travelers, particularly after flights, who feel salt's positive effects in their breathing and know how salt can support a healthy respiratory system.
Breathing in salt particles may help reduce inflammation in the lungs, clear mucus, and potentially increase lung capacity. Anti-inflammatory, salt therapy is often used to help people with asthma, allergies or other respiratory ailments. Salt is also antimicrobial and antibacterial.
Simply put, salt therapy can make it easier to breathe.
Halotherapy and the use of Himalayan salt for spa therapy is one of the fastest growing modalities in our industry for a reason. We need to make a commitment to do all we can to stay well and to educate others on how to support their own health and immunity.

Founders, Himalayan Source
When Tori and Leon Jones discovered salt therapy a few years ago at a salt cave in Tennessee, they knew they needed to bring that experience back home to Little Rock, Arkansas.
Eden Salt Studio, their family-owned venture, combines the stress-reducing experience of yoga with the healing powers of salt therapy. Using a Himalayan salt wall from Himalayan Source, as well as offering dry salt therapy, Eden Salt Studio is able to provide a rejuvenating, high-class experience for every guest in a beautiful, gold glowing setting.
“Our customers love the salt wall! So many people have said that they want one for their homes. They are intrigued that it's actual salt,” Owner and Yoga Instructor Tori Jones said. “Today in a salt session, I couldn't begin because one woman wanted to take about 15 pictures … She couldn't believe how beautiful it was.”
According to the Jones’, they originally sought out Himalayan Source for their salt wall concepts based on a referral, but it was ultimately the Himalayan Source team and prices that sealed the deal. “After we did our due diligence, we found Himalayan Source to have great advisors and competitive prices,” Co-owner and COO Leon Jones said. “They were also very easy to work with.”
Now, Eden Salt Studio boasts three separate salt walls, which their contractors were able to install in only three days. “The installation process was smooth and the instructions were easy to follow,” Leon said. “Our contractor worked with Hart and was able to do the installation work with ease.”
Today, the Jones’ are advocates for Himalayan Source’s salt walls and encourage their industry peers to make the investment. “All of our clients enjoy gazing at the salt wall, whether in yoga or in a salt session, and they enjoy the calming atmosphere and positive energy associated with the salt walls,” Leon said. “Having a salt wall is necessary to setting the right tone for your studio. I would advise each owner to have a salt wall in their salt room and if it’s in their budget, to include one in the reception area.”
Himalayan Source is proud to be a part of the exceptional salt experience at Eden Salt Studio. To learn more about Himalayan Source’s salt wall concepts, click here, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Until the end of the year, Himalayan Source is offering clients $1,000 off any salt sauna, full salt concept wall that is $5,000 or more. (Add an optional ISR 1000 halo-generator to help reach your $5,000 total — see below for details.)
Durable and beautiful, salt saunas and walls are easily customizable in size, texture, color, and design, adding aesthetic value to any spa or wellness center while boosting guests' health and enriching their overall experience.
“As wellness providers, I know my spa industry peers are always looking for ways to enhance guest experience and health, as well as improve as providers year after year,” Himalayan Source co-founder Ann Brown said. “I want to make it easy for them to end the year on a strong note and begin 2020 new and improved.”
Himalayan salt saunas and walls are made from 100% pure Himalayan crystal salt, containing 84 naturally occurring minerals and salts that are considered the purest and most beneficial salt ever discovered on earth. When heated, Himalayan salt serves as a natural ionizer, helping reduce problems associated with headaches and migraines, stress, insomnia, respiratory problems, allergies and arthritis.
The ISR 1000 halo-generator, which produces a nearly invisible, dry salt aerosol in mere minutes, may be included in your salt wall or concept purchase — applied to reach the $5,000 total for your $1,000 off special. When inhaled, it helps eliminate allergy symptoms, reduce asthma inflammation and kill rhinoviruses.
Powerful and portable, the halo-generator enables spas to transform any treatment room into a salt room. This means guests can benefit from the healing power of Himalayan salt while enjoying other spa treatments, such as massage, manicure and pedicure, or aromatherapy.

Congratulations to our new partner and friend, Tranquil Lily, for their grand opening in Solon, Ohio on September 7!
We are proud to have partnered with them to create a truly one-of-a-kind experience in the Tranquil Lily Salt Grotto, where guests are immersed in a relaxing, healing atmosphere of salt and sand.
Relaxing in comfortable lounge chairs, guests enjoy warm, golden sand at their feet and the gentle, healing glow of illuminated and warm Himalayan Source Himalayan salt around them. The warm salt bricks create a clean, pure, bacteria-free environment that detoxifies, replenishes and provides a grounding effect for the body by giving off negative ions that help relieve anxiety, reduce stress, improve sleep, and more.
With the remarkable vision of their team, who chose a unique trim design that starts and stops the salt walls both above and at face-level to the lounge chairs, their beautiful salt grotto room provides a soothing atmosphere with a gentle, ambient glow in all the right places.
As spas and wellness centers look for ways to improve their guest experiences this spring, Himalayan Source offers a new innovative option for spas to upgrade saunas with Himalayan salt panels. Himalayan salt panels improve sauna benefits for guests by creating a clean, pure, bacteria-free environment that detoxifies, replenishes and provides a grounding effect for the body.
The installation of a Himalayan salt panel converts a traditional sauna to a detoxifying dry sauna and adding to the sauna’s benefits for guests. Within a sauna, dry heat activates the Himalayan salt blocks, transforming them into ionizers. Warmed Himalayan salt gives off negative ions that help relieve anxiety, reduce stress, improve sleep, reduce indoor air pollution and allergens, and more.
“Bringing in the numerous benefits of Himalayan salt, spas optimize their underutilized traditional saunas and, with minimal investment, transform an important wellness space into a more impactful healing experience,” said Ann Brown of Himalayan Source. “We designed these panels with a focus on innovation and ease — with installation typically within one hour — so as many spas and spa-goers as possible could benefit.”
As guests breathe in the ion-infused air in a sauna with a Himalayan salt panel, the body is replenished by the 84 naturally occurring minerals found in Himalayan salt but are missing from today’s environment due to pollution and everyday stressful living.
Himalayan Source offers framed Himalayan salt panels in a variety of Himalayan salt stylesand frame finishes. With a standard size of 32” x 64”,panels may be ordered in custom sizes, withsalt bricks or different size granular salt, and require no special tools or skills to install. The panels feature long-lasting LED lighting for a beautiful, ambient glow and an aesthetically-pleasing and environmentally-friendly design.
For spas seeking a more comprehensive, custom Himalayan salt installation, Himalayan Source also offers Himalayan salt walls for saunas. Salt walls are typically installed within one-half to one day to minimize downtime for spa-goer usage.
